The simulators include a powerful debugging environment which assists in the design of the logic for chips and computer systems.
The company was founded in 1986 as by Dr. Aart J. De Geus and a team of engineers from General Electric 's Microelectronics Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina . Since then it went through a series of acquisitions.
