Sussex County Cricket Club is one of the 18 major Counties which make up the English domestic Cricket structure, representing the historic county of Sussex . It plays one day cricket as the ''Sussex Sharks''. England's oldest county cricket club, Sussex CCC was formed in 1839 , but had to wait until 2003 for its first County Championship title. Before the County Championship officially began in 1890 , an unofficial County Championship existed, which Sussex won outright 7 times between 1825 and 1889 and which Sussex shared with Nottinghamshire in 1852 . The club plays most of their home games at the County Cricket Ground . The club also plays some games around the county at Arundel , Eastbourne and Horsham . EXTERNAL LINK Official site |
