Sunn Amplifiers , or Sunn Amps for short, are a brand of musical equipment which are very popular with musicians in the heavier end of the musical spectrum. HISTORY Oregon-based Sunn Musical Equipment Company was formed in 1965 to provide rock and roll musicians with loud, roadworthy amplification. By the summer of ’67 anyone who doubted the need for such over-designed gear had only to witness bands like Cream , The Who , and of course the Jimi Hendrix Experience to realize an open-back combo would no longer cut it.
