One of the most prominent architectural features is the large 18th Century Obelisk reputed to have been designed by Edward Lovett Pearce who resided in Stillorgan in a house known as The Grove, now known as Tigh Lorcain Hall. Orpen housing estate was designed by the famous artist William Orpen . Stillorgan was the location of the world famous Louis Murray's Flamingo's at the Parkes Hotel Stillorgan is also home to the famous Kilmacud Crokes G.A.A. club who's clubhouse, Glenalbyn is directly across from the shopping centre.
