Steve White (born on 31 May , 1965 in Bermondsey , London ) is an English drummer, who worked extensively with Paul Weller , and other British musicians. His brother Alan White is also a drummer, who played in the famous britpop band - Oasis for nine years ( 1995 - 2004 ). A couple of years ago, Alan had said about Steve that beside influences as Ringo Starr and Bonzo , the one that had influenced his career was his brother Steve. Once, Alan had Tendonitis and during few gigs, Steve took the drumming duties for Oasis . Also a member of Supergroup The Players , and also drummed for early 90s band Starclub . He has his own website , where he answers the fan's questions, and sheds light on his recent activities with Paul Weller, Chad Smith and many more respected musicians. More recently, he took over drumming duties for Live 8 in ( 2005 ) by The Who , after their regular drummer Zak Starkey , Ringo Starr 's son, joined Oasis on their tours, and recording sessions.
