ROUTE DESCRIPTION Route 71, also known as the Corona Expressway and occasionally the ''' Chino Valley Freeway ''', is a 16-mile freeway that runs from Route 91 near the Santa Ana River in Chino Hills, California to Route 57 / Interstate 210 at the Kellogg Hill Interchange with Route 10 in Pomona, California . The route cuts through the unusual "tail" of San Bernardino County , which connects it to Orange County . It is signed as a scenic route from California State Route 91 near Corona, California to California State Route 83 east of Chino Hills, California HISTORY The original routing of Route 71 according to the 1934 listing was from Interstate 8 in San Diego, California north to Temecula, California at U.S. Highway 66 .
