South Thanet is a Constituency represented in the House Of Commons of the Parliament Of The United Kingdom . It elects one Member Of Parliament (MP) by the First Past The Post system of election.


BOUNDARIES

South Thanet consists of the southern part of Thanet district (the towns of Ramsgate and Broadstairs & St Peters, plus the villages of Cliffsend, Manston, Minster and Monkton) together with the northern part of Dover district, comprising the ancient Cinque Port of Sandwich and surrounding villages.


Boundary review

Following their review of parliamentary representaion in Kent, the Boundary Commission For England has made major changes to the existing constituency arrangement as a consequence of population changes across the county.
