South Park Mexican (or '''SPM''') is a Houston, Texas native and Rapper , one of the few Mexican rappers to enter the consciousness of mainstream rap. SPM's real name is '''Carlos Coy'''. He was born on October 5 , 1970 in Houston, Texas.

Growing up in South Park, Houston , a notorious low-income neighborhood, he began selling Recreational Drugs , quitting in 1994 to begin his rap career with his first demo Hillwood. On his own label, Dope House Records , SPM released ''Hustle Town'' and ''Power Moves'' to local fame. Touring throughout Texas , SPM released ''The 3rd Wish'' and ''The Purity Album'' before moving to Universal Records for ''Time Is Money'' and ''Never Change''. Neither established him in the mainstream. SPM also worked with the late DJ Screw , his best friend. He also worked with fellow Latino artist Baby Bash and Juan Gotti. Some of South Park Mexican's most popular hits to date are "Mary-go-round," "Mexican Radio," "High So High," and "Peace Pipe".

South Park Mexican is currently in the Texas prison system. On May 18th 2002,a Houston jury convicted him for aggravated sexual assault of a child; in June the same jury sentenced him to 45 years in prison. Coy testified that he did not assault the nine-year-old girl in question, who had spent the night at his house with his daughter. Coy did, however, admit to having sex in 1993 with a 13-year-old girl who bore his child. Carlos Coy will be eligible for parole after he serves 22 1/2 years of his 45 year sentence but his appeal may get him out sooner.

South Park Mexican has a new album prepared called " When Devils Strike " set to be released in October 3rd 2006.
