Skyservice Airlines is a combination business aviation, air ambulance and Charter Airline based in Ontario , Canada . It employs around 1000 people and has 20 aircraft.

Skyservice has a United States division, ''Skyservice USA''.

As well as Canada, Skyservice flies to the U.S., the Caribbean , Mexico and Europe .

HISTORY

Started in 1986 .

On 2 May 2005 Skyservice introduced the first of two Boeing 767-300 aircraft to its fleet, the first of which entered service on that date with a flight from Toronto to Puerto Vallarta . The aircraft (both formerly with MyTravel Airways ) would be used for operating summer charters from Toronto to the UK and Europe for Sunquest Tours, and in the winter would fly from Vancouver to the Caribbean and Mexico (ref:Air International, July 2005). It is one of the only discount airlines operating in Canada which still offers full meal services.

One of Skyservice's 767s was involved in a landing incident in 2005. The co-pilot, while landing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, experienced a hard landing which resulted in injured passengers and damage to the aircraft. The aircraft was repaired in Punta Cana and is back into service with MyTravel Airways . Sources speculate that the co-pilot's failure to perform a "go-around", which involves aborting the landing and restarting the approach, may have been a factor in the accident.
