The Skeena River is on the north coast of British Columbia , passing through Terrace . It is well-known for its sport Salmon fishing. It is also an important artery for the Tsimshian and the Gitksan . British Columbia Provincial Highway 16 parallels the Skeena for much of its length. Bulkley River is a major tributary.
