GEOGRAPHY According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 92.0 Km&2 (35.5 Mi&2 ). 92.0 km&2 (35.5 mi&2) of it is land and 0.03% is water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census 2 of 2000, there were 1,130 people, 410 households, and 334 families residing in the town. The Population Density was 12.3/km&2 (31.8/mi&2). There were 428 housing units at an average density of 4.7/km&2 (12.0/mi&2). The racial makeup of the town was 99.29% White , 0.09% African American , 0.27% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from Other Races , and 0.35% from two or more races. 0.18% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 410 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.9% were Married Couples living together, 4.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.3% were non-families. 14.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.76 and the average family size was 3.04. In the town the population was spread out with 24.2% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 26.2% from 25 to 44, 28.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.4% who were 65 years of age or older.
