Shima (志摩市; -shi) is a City located in Mie Prefecture , on the island of Honshu , Japan . The city was formed on October 1 , 2004 by the merger of all five towns from the former Shima District (which was dissolved by the merger). As of 2003 , the five towns that merged had an estimated Population of 60,059 and the Density of 334.35 persons per Km² . The total (merged) area is 179.63 km². EXTERNAL LINKS
