COMPUTER CLUB

(This is with the permission of the club founders and charter writers)
The Computer club was or rather more acuratly reborn in Sewanhaka High School by the efforts of it's infamous president Ebey P. Soman. The club was and still is directed under the expert guidance of Mr. Daniel Labbato in an effective coordination with the club officers Ebey Soman (President), Gokul Kalla (Vice-President), John Ettikalayill (Secreatary), and Tristan Villanueva (Treasurer).

The club has a great amount of people both attending and a lot more just eager to attend the club sessions. The programs and the variety of paths the clubs are taking are just as interersting as the daily activities done by the club. The members get hands-on experience with programing, visual & graphics manupliations, photo editing as well as other programs used in the modern-day teachnological and computer media/advertising fields.

According to the article written by Ebey Soman and Mr. Daniel Labbato, this club has a lot of resources to offer and is worth in every way to look at. This is just an excerpt from its charter (with permission from the writer and club founder):

"Concerning the Computer Club and the activities that this club is going to endorse during the duration of the time this club may come into existence. With the consultation of the club Advisor Mr. Labatto and the combined efforts of the Founders and the Officers of this club, we have drafted an overview of the club’s activities."

The purpose of the club is for students of like interests to gather together and discuss various ways in which they can use their hobby to the benefit of the high school.

The advisor will act as a guide to facilitate the student’s ambitions. Some projects or interests may be:

- Self-Guided tutorials that can be placed online.

- Apply programming to automate functions that would otherwise be laborious and tedious.

- Explore the possibility of creating instructional animations driven by programming languages such as “VB”, “C”, “C++”, and “Java.”

- Seek information relating to their interests using online libraries and knowledge resources.

The club also Functions as service to individual teachers who are unable to create their own class web page(s). The club has no restrictions as to the membership of the club but has strict command for respect toward other individuals, advisors, officers and other people whose interest in the club may be different from their own interest."

As seen evident from this excerpt form the charter, the club offers a lot more than what many classes offer and a real world approach to many technical and graphical problems encountered in computers realted matter. The club does more than what it promises on papper.

The club has taken up the projects to build, edit and upload teacher's websites on to the internet and help students get to learn of programs. The ongoing project of website builing is a very promising path for the club and the club will put out a list of links to the sites they have completed.

Currently, the club is taking its rightful leadership among modernizing their computers and getting the top quality available. Mr. Daniel Labbato, Ebey Soman and Gokul Kalla and preparing parts as well as enncouraing students to fundraise & donate money in order to upgrade their computers into the newest out there.
