After being filled in, Maria explains to them how their pet is the best pet in the world to themselves, for their own reasons, and that if each loves their pet, that's all that really matters.

If Curly Bear doesn't like porridge, Baby Bear fear, maybe she doesn't like him. Alan explains to Baby Bear how just like families, even best friends don't always have the same tastes. Brother and sister won't be exactly the same, and not only is that okay, but it can be a special part of their relationship.
