The Scottish National Portrait Gallery is an Art Gallery on Queen Street, Edinburgh , Scotland . It holds the national collections of Portrait s, all of which are of, but not necessarily by, Scots. In addition it also holds the Scottish National Photography Collection . It is a red Sandstone Gothic Revival building, designed by Robert Rowand Anderson , and modelled on the Doges Palace in Venice . Its collection includes:
