Scott Reeder was the left handed Bass player for the Stoner Rock band Kyuss who now plays for Bütcher and releases solo records as well.

He joined Kyuss after the departure of Nick Oliveri and remained there until the band went on indefinite hiatus in October 1995 . Reeder reunited with former Kyuss singer John Garcia to form Unida , a stoner rock band which only released one full-length album before dissolving.

In 2002, he was among 8 bassists to audition for Metallica , including Robert Trujillo , Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez, and Pepper Keenan . Short excerpts from his meeting with the band can be seen in Metallica 's documentary '' Some Kind Of Monster ''. Three years later, in 2005 , he officially joined the band Bütcher.

Reeder released his solo album, ''TunnelVision Brilliance'', on 2006-01-24 . All the tracks were written and performed by himself.


TRIVIA

  • He usually uses his fingers to play, rather than a pick, and is often seen barefoot on stage.

  • He covered a Kyuss song, "Demon Cleaner", on stage with Tool in 1998.
