Shaikh Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa (born 21 October 1969 ) is the Crown Prince and the Undersecretary of Defence of the Kingdom of Bahrain . He went to the prestigious Bahrain School in Bahrain , followed by higher studies abroad. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 1992 from the American University in Washington D.C. , in the United States . He also obtained a Master's Degree in History and Philosophy from Cambridge University in 1994 . Shaikh Salman was appointed Chairman of the Board Of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre For Studies And Research (BCSR) in 1995 . That same year, he was also appointed Defence Under-Secretary. He speaks Arabic and English fluently. Shaikh Salman funds two special programs that help develop the young people of Bahrain. |
