Salaheddine Muhammad Bahaaeddin was a member of the Interim Iraq Governing Council created following the United States 's 2003 Invasion Of Iraq . A native of the Kurdish town of Halabja , Bahaaeddin has written several books in Kurdish and Arabic. He also helped found the Kurdistan Islamic Union in 1991 , and became its first elected secretary-general in 1994 . |
