Saddleback High School is a four year Secondary School located in Santa Ana , California , and is part of the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD). The school mascot is the Roadrunner . As Of 2005 , the School Principal is Esther Jones, who has served in that capacity since 2001 . Saddleback High School was first established in 1967 . STUDENTS In the 2004-2005 school year, Saddleback had 3036 students. The ethnic distribution of students is as follows: 79.4% Hispanic, 5.5% Asian American, 2.4% white, 0.5% black. Students scored fairly poor on standardized testing. Only 12 to 15 percent of 11th graders in 2002 scored at or above the proficient level on the California Standards Test in English, Math, Science and History/Social Science.
