The Rancho Cucamonga , CA , Pop-punk quartet 'Rufio' is a fast paced pop punk band largely driven on fast metal-like guitar riffs, Rufio issued their debut recording in 2001 on The Militia Group label, ''Perhaps, I Suppose''. The band returned in June 2003 with MCMLXXXV (released on the Nitro label), which was recorded with the aid of producer Nick Rasculinecz ( Foo Fighters ; Rancid ). Rufio further upped their profile with a series of Warped Tour dates that summer. Their new album The Comfort Of Home was released in July of 2005 to critical acclaim they had not previously received. In late January of 2006 bassist Jon Berry and drummer Mike Jimenez left the band. Mike Jimenez has started a new band called "Science Fiction Theatre" they have songs up on their Myspace account at http://www.myspace.com/sciencefictiontheatre NAME The band gets their name from the character Rufio, one of the Lost Boys from the fairy tale story BAND MEMBERS
