Rudy Colombini has been a member of several notable bands including The Divine Comedy (not the British band of the same name), the Stragglers , and the Twist as well as releasing several solo albums. A chance meeting with former Beatles singer John Lennon inspired Rudy to get serious about songwriting. Two of his recordings have reached #30 and #46 nationwide on the Adult Contemporary Chart s. Rudy made his grand entrance on the world's stage in San Francisco's North Beach , home of the Beat Generation and its infamous mix of Prose , Poetry , and Jazz . Rudy has toured with musicians including the Beach Boys , the English Beat and Marshall Crenshaw . Rudy Colombini has been featured on both Universal and EMI records, was co-writer for the soundtrack of Francis Ford Coppola 's film Rumble Fish . The San Francisco Examiner called him "a Mick Jaggar impersonator, a Nob Hill hotelier and an eccentric promoter of pop music." Rudy Colombini is also known for owning the legendary Nob Hill Hotel , a hangout for rock stars. In addition, he is the lead singer of the Unauthorized Rolling Stones , a Rolling Stones cover band which has become something of a San Francisco Bay Area institution. In addition, he owns the nearby Fitzgerald Hotel , and Villa Soma Hotel. Solo Albums:

His Divine Comedy video which includes videos for the songs "Such a Separation" and "Crucifixion Lover" won him an American Film Institute Award in 1993. Rudy Colombini has also been instrumental in starting Music City SF a San Francisco recording studio and music space and the San Francisco Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame , working with rock ‘n' roll pioneer Chet Helms , former promoter of Janis Joplin among others.
