Romania In The Eurovision Song Contest 2006




TVR held the Romanian selection for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest on 26 February and Mihai Trăistariu with the song ''Tornero'' will represent the country. Tornero is a dance song not unlike last year's song ''Let Me Try'' which started off with a calm tone and picked up with several key changes and a climax at the end. The song is performed in both English and Italian . The song is written by Cristian Hriscu & Mihaela Deac and composed by Eduard Cârcota.

Mihai Trăistariu was born in Piatra Neamţ and is a 25 year old singer currently residing in Constanţa . He has participated in many international festivals and competitions including five participations in the Romanian National Selection for Eurovision. He released his debut album in 2005 called "Altceva".
