Rolls-royce Eagle




The Rolls-Royce Eagle V12 was a 12 cylinder 60 degree V12 aero engine of 20 Liters capacity. The engine first ran in 1915 , was liquid cooled, had overhead camshafts and produced 360 hp (268 kW) at 1800 rpm whilst weighing 408 kg (900lb). It was not Supercharged . Bore and stroke were 5.5" x 6.5" (140 x 165 mm). 4,681 were built, production ceasing in 1928 .

There is an example of this engine in the Science Museum , London.
