Robert Grant (novelist)




Robert Grant (born 1852 ; died 1940 ) was an American author. A Boston native and Harvard University graduate, he published his first novel in 1884 . His most successful book was ''Unleavened Bread,'' which was one of the Best Selling Novels of 1900 . His autobiography ''Fourscore'' was published in 1934.

Grant was also a well known court judge, appointed in 1893 . His most famous legal decision was in the Sacco And Vanzetti case, in which he upheld the decision to execute both men.
