Robert Duncan Wilmot

The Honourable Robert Duncan Wilmot, PC ( 16 October 1809 – 13 February 1891 ) was a Canadian Politician and a Father Of Confederation . Following confederation, he was appointed to the Canadian Senate on 23 October 1867 by Royal Proclamation , and represented the Senatorial Division of New Brunswick until his resignation on 10 February 1880 . From 1880 – 1885 he served as the Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of New Brunswick.
