Rick Altergott is a professional Illustrator , Cartoonist and Comic artist residing in Seattle, Washington with his wife Ariel Bordeaux , who is a cartoonist also. They publish a comic magazine together for Fantagraphics called ''Raisin Pie''. Altergott is best known for his long-running Doofus stories, notorious for their Scatological humor. He is currently said to be releasing a serious Biblical comic based on the life of Saint Matthias . {Link without Title} It has been sometimes theorized that Altergott is a pseudonym for Daniel Clowes which allows him to exercise drawing in a different, Wally Wood -reverent style.
