RMS supports four record formats:

Fixed length

Variable length

Variable record length with fixed-length control blocks

Stream files (records separated by termination characters)

--- STREAM: Records terminated by CRLF

--- STREAM_CR: Records terminated by CR

--- STREAM_LF: Records terminated by LF
