Recca Hanabishi (花菱烈火 ''Hanabishi Rekka'', "Raging Fire"), is the title character in a Japanese Anime and Manga series, '' Flame Of Recca '', otherwise known as Rekka no Honō in Japan. Obsessed with Ninjas since early childhood, Recca learns that he was originally born into the Hokage ninja clan 400 years ago, and was sent forwards in time by his mother, Kage Houshi, to keep him from being slaughtered in a war. Being a descendant of the leading line of the Hokage, Recca has the ability to create Fire . A son of a Fireworks manufacturer, he sometimes employs small incendiary devices or smoke bombs in combination with his elemental power to distract his enemies. Recca is quick to test his strength and is especially persistent when defending his love, Sakoshita Yanagi. Rekka may be cocky and overconfident but manages to save his friends due to his ninja skills. Recca's flame power differs fundamentally from that of his allies and enemies in that it is innate to his being and thus does not require the use of an elemental item. He, however wears a Tekkou or armband, to control his flame power. He will be burned by his own flame if he removes it. He has eight Karyu or Flame Dragons . These Flame Dragons are the spirits of Rekka's ancestors and flame masters of the past. The names of the Flame Dragons are Saiha, Nadare, Homura, Setsuna, Madoka, Rui, Kokuu and Resshin. Every one of the Flame Dragons have their own personalities and powers. They lent Rekka their powers whenever he needs it. Before Rekka could use their powers, He must prove to them that he deserves to be their master. He acquired the 7 Flame Dragons expect Resshin, the 8th Flame Dragon . Resshin is actually the spirit of Rekka and Kurei's biological father, Ohka. The story of Flame of Recca starts when a young woman carrying a child was running to the woods. Then the woman stopped and performed some hand seals to open a portal. The portal opened and she put her child into the portal. The flashback ends and the next scene shows two high school students fighting. A big guy with a nose ring and a small guy with a blue cap. The one with the cap is Rekka. He evaded everything the big guy thrown by his acrobatics. The he hid in the tree. The big guy with a nose ring is Domon Ishijima. Domon rocked the tree after Rekka called him a ring-nosed pig. Something fell but to Domon's disappointment, it was a scarecrow. Rekka went down and Domon chased him. Suddenly, Domon fell into a hole and cannot get out of it. When Rekka was telling him about ninjas he spat back that ninjas are nothing but legends. This made Rekka very angry and has thrown firecrackers in the hole where Domon is. After that, Rekka went home and the narration about his present life begins with his fascination with ninjas. It is interrupted when his stomach grumbles. He asked his father for something to eat for lunch. His father faced him with a cigarette in his mouth while making fireworks. He kicked his father in the face to remind him that cigarettes are dangerous while making fireworks. His father kicked back and told him that he ate lunch already and Rekka must look something for lunch. He left the house and ate lunch in the park. He was eating his lunch when he saw a beautiful girl playing with children in the park. He looked at her and when she looked back, he blushed. He followed the girl, he saw her stopping at the construction site. An accident happened and metal pipes are falling to the girl and a child. He jumps to push the girl out of harm's way and got hurt in the process. He became unconscious and dreamed that he is a ninja serving his princess and was healed in the process. He woke up from the dream and the girl he saved calls him Hanabishi-san. It turns out that she healed him of his injuries. He ran away and sat on the bench. He was seen by the girl. She introduced herslef as Sakoshita Yanagi and told that they enter the same school. As gratitude of healing him, he brought her to an abandoned warehouse and showed her his own fireworks. After showing her his fireworks, a strange woman appeared and demanded Rekka to show her his flame. She introduced herself as Kagehoushi. He tells he don't know what she's saying, she attacked them. Rekka defended Yanagi but he was outskilled by Kagehoushi. When he was badly injured, Kagehoushi proceeded to kill him, but Yanagi stopped her. She hit Yanagi and flames started to appear in his hands. He was surprised at first but shot a large blast of fire at Kagehoushi. Kagehoushi was impressed that he shot a large flame but commented that it is not enough to kill her. He takes Yanagi home and tells her that he will be her ninja and she will be his princess. |
