Rae Vogeler is an American political Activist , and current candidate for the U.S. Senate seat from Wisconsin . EARLY LIFE Vogeler was born and raised in Milwaukee in 1956. She grew up on the city's south side where she became politically active at an early age. CAREER Rae Vogeler has worked as an activist for over 30 years on a variety of issues, including Peace , Social Justice , and Worker Rights . An accomplished writer, speaker and organizer, she has long been a leader in the national peace movement, beginning with U.S. Out Now, and continuing on with the National Network to End the War Against Iraq (NNEWAI), and United For Peace And Justice . In September 2001 she helped to organize and co-found the Madison Area Peace Coalition, the main anti-war group in south central Wisconsin . 2006 U.S. SENATE ELECTION Rae Vogeler is a candidate for the Wisconsin Green Party 's nomination for U.S. Senate ; she is the endorsed candidate of the party in its upcoming September primary.
