Information About

Queen's Park Station

Queen's Park station is a National Rail and London Underground station at Queen's Park in north-west London . The station is served by Silverlink main line trains and Bakerloo Line Underground trains. It is in Travelcard Zone 2 .

On the Bakerloo Line , Queen's Park is between Kilburn Park and Kensal Green . Many Bakerloo Line trains terminate at Queen's Park rather than continuing to Harrow & Wealdstone .

The station was first opened by the London And North Western Railway (LNWR) on 2 June 1879 on its Watford line. Services on the Bakerloo Line were extended to Queen's Park on 11 February 1915 . On 10 May 1915 Bakerloo services began north of Queen's Park over tracks shared with the LNWR. Initially services went as far as Willesden Junction , but these were extended to Watford Junction in 1917 when the line was electrified. The Bakerloo line ceased operating beyond Harrow & Wealdstone in the 1980s.

All platforms at Queen's Park station are on the surface. The entrances to the Bakerloo Line tunnels are about 300 Metre s to the east of the station.

An unusual track layout to the north of Queen's Park sees Bakerloo line trains routed through a depot shed as a means of transfer between LNWR metals and the tracks of the Bakerloo line proper.
