The Province of Canterbury, also called the '''Southern Province''', is one of two Ecclesiastical Province s making up the Church Of England . (The other is the Province Of York .) It consists of 30 Diocese s, covering roughly the southern two-thirds of England , along with the Channel Islands , a few parishes in Wales , and the mainland of Europe . Before the Church In Wales was disestablished the Province also included all of Wales. The province's Metropolitan Bishop is the Archbishop Of Canterbury . |
