He was the son of the Emperor Go-Daigo and Minamoto No Chikako . He fought on the side of the Emperor, but was captured by Ashikaga Takauji . Ashikaga's brother Ashikaga Tadayoshi held him captive in a cave at the present-day Kamakura-gu for nine months before ordering his execution. |
