Praslin is the second largest island of the Seychelles , lying north east of Mahé . It is named for the French Duc De Praslin and has a population of around 5,000 people. The Island is known for its Beach es, for its Endemic Black Parrot , and for the Vallée De Mai , home to Coco De Mer . The main settlements are the Baie Ste Anne Port , Anse Volbert and Grand Anse .
