GEOGRAPHY Perrysburg is located at 41°33'1" North, 83°37'48" West (41.550218, -83.629913). According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 23.6 Km&2 (9.1 Mi&2 ). 23.1 km&2 (8.9 mi&2) of it is land and 0.5 km&2 (0.2 mi&2) of it is water. The total area is 2.30% water. HISTORY DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 16,945 people, 6,592 households, and 4,561 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 733.5/km&2 (1,899.2/mi&2). There were 6,964 housing units at an average density of 301.4/km&2 (780.5/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 95.34% White , 1.03% African American , 0.10% Native American , 1.77% Asian , 0.02% Pacific Islander , 0.90% from Other Races , and 0.84% from two or more races. 2.05% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 6,592 households out of which 38.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.1% were Married Couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.8% were non-families. 27.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.18. In the city the population was spread out with 29.0% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 13.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.5 males. The median income for a household in the city was $62,237, and the median income for a family was $75,651. Males had a median income of $56,496 versus $31,401 for females.
