When the Imperial Court sent Huyan Zhuo together with Han Tao and Peng Qi to conquer the Liangshan bandits, Peng Qi was captured by Hu San Niang after falling into her trick. Song Jiang treated Peng Qi kindly and persuaded him to join the band to uphold the will of heaven. After that, Ling Zhen and Han Tao were also captured and Peng Qi managed to persuade them to join the band as well. After the amnesty with the Imperial Court, Peng Qi joined the other heroes on the expeditions against the invading Liao troops and the rebels. When the heroes were on the campaign against Fang La , Peng Qi and Han Tao were sent to attack Changzhou. Peng Qi was shocked to see Han Tao being shot down by Gao Keli , and due to his close friendship with Han Tao, Peng Qi sought revenge on Gao Keli. He charged towards Gao, but was stabbed in the side by Zhang Jinren when he was not looking and died together with Han Tao. |
