'' Rep. Paul Miller '' Paul Miller is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's twenty-ninth House district, including constituents in Durham county, USA . A computer consultant and investment advisor from Durham, North Carolina , Miller is currently (2003-2004 session) serving in his second term in the state House, where he holds the position of Democratic Whip. Paul Miller, a North Carolina House member, included his personal business card in letters he sent to voters in October 2004 on General Assembly letterhead. Public money paid the postage. He claimed enclosing the business card was an easy way to tell voters how to contact him. He could have just as easily listed the number in the letter, which did contain his home and legislative phone numbers. Miller initially said he only served corporate clients, but his Web site says he offers financial guidance for families and individuals. Miller has one of the 2004 session's worst attendance records, missing more than half the scheduled legislative days. His excuse, Busy with work. However, He wasn't too busy to collect his $104 per day for expenses, on the days he missed. |
