Osgoode is a Station on the University Line of the Subway/RT System in Toronto , Canada .

Osgoode Station is located at 250 University Avenue at Queen Street West . It opened in 1963 , and is named for the nearby Osgoode Hall . Other nearby landmarks include the Four Seasons Centre For The Performing Arts , Toronto City Hall , Nathan Phillips Square , and the United States consulate.

When Osgoode station was built, some utility lines were relocated away from the station to allow for a future Lower Osgoode station on the projected but never-built Queen Street Subway , but unlike at Lower Queen , no actual construction took place.

A current proposal to revamp the interior aesthetics of stations on the University line would see Osgoode station renamed Osgoode-Opera and decorated to reflect the opera house currently under construction at the intersection.
