OOMPH! was formed in 1989 in by its current members. Their fist album OOMPH! features very hard vocals and instrumentals to make it sound sounds somewhat crude and harsh. Their style has since then seen vast improvements. The more recent albums display a level of distinction form. Perhaps the bands talent is best expressed in their music videos, specifically in the videos for "Augen Auf" and "Gott ist ein Popstar"; these videos show passion and feeling.
Augen Auf from Warheit Oder Pflicht has appeared on the Soundtrack to FIFA '05.
