The 2005 recruitment campaign consisted of a set policy platform of Aid in Darfur, Vote 16 Initiative, Meet our Kyoto Targets, Electoral Reform, Expand Public Transit, Decriminalize Marijuana, Increased Post-Secondary Funding. The campus recruitment campaign was titled "What's Sexy? Being Liberal. What's Sexier? Progressive Policy".

The structure of the Executive consists of a President, Executive Vice-President, Vice-President of Federal Affairs, Vice-President of Provincial Affairs, Treasurer, Riding Director, Student Director, Policy Director, Communications Director, Recruitment Director and 6 Regional Coordinators.

The Organization has 20 accredited campus clubs while the Young Liberals Of Canada have only accredited 15 of them, but has 53 Riding Clubs.

Controversy surrounded the Youth Wings 2005 Annual General Meeting in Windsor, Ontario when former Deputy Chief of Staff (Cabinet Affairs) to Paul Martin , Karl Littler, intervened when the former Policy Director, Sarah Wong announced she would run for the Presidency of the Organization. Wong later withdrew her nomination causing media coverage and whistle blowing of Littler's interference with the AGM. The 2005 AGM had a contested race for every position on the Executive Board and caused division throughout the Organization. During the AGM, the incumbent President who was up for re-election, Andrew Teliszewsky, successfully passed a constitutional ammendment prolonging his Presidency to 18 months instead of the constitutional 12 month term. Strong Toronto Youth organizer Li Zhang ran against Teliszewsky for President but lost by an estimated 50 votes of the total estimated 500 delegates. The constitutional ammendment will enable Teliszewsky to remain President throughout the Liberal Leadership Convention.
