Knussen composed a number of works during the 1970s , mainly for Musical Ensemble or Orchestra . He led the London Sinfonietta for a time in the 1980s . During the 1980s he wrote, among other things, two " Children 's" Operas , '' Where The Wild Things Are '' and '' Higglety Pigglety Pop! '', both with Libretti by Maurice Sendak . EXTERNAL LINK |
