TRIVIA

  • The second Angel mini-series. Jeff Mariotte declared having completed it that he would likely discontinue writing for the Buffyverse , having already written eleven ''Angel'' novels, and eleven ''Angel comics.

  • Characters include: Angel, Gunn, Illyria, Spike, and Wesley.

  • Cover artists for the original comics included: David Messina, Neil Yokes, Tone Rodriguez, Sean Phillips, Lee Kohse and Russell Walks.

  • In an interview originally posted on CityofAngel.com , Mariotte explained that he originally proposed two storylines for the comics, this is probably the second storyline which got put on hold until after ''The Curse'' introduced comic readers to the character, Angel.

CONTINUITY

  • Supposed to be set after Angel Season 5, (after the episode Not Fade Away ), and after the comic series, The Curse .

Canonical issues

See Also: Buffyverse canon

: ''Buffy'' / ''Angel'' comics such as this one are not usually considered by fans as Canonical . Some fans consider them stories from the imaginations of authors and artists, while other fans consider them as taking place in an alternative fictional reality. However unlike Fan Fiction , overviews summarising their story, written early in the writing process, were 'approved' by both Fox and Joss Whedon (or his office), and the books were therefore later published as officially Buffy merchandise.

Timing

  • Stories that take place around the same time in the Buffyverse:
