Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is an Airport located in Highfill, Arkansas , near Bentonville , Rogers , Fayetteville , and Springdale . XNA opened in November, 1998 as a replacement to serve commercial traffic previously served by Drake Field in Fayetteville, which was too small and landlocked to serve the rapidly-growing Northwest Arkansas region.
