The London Borough s which make up North London are Barking And Dagenham , Barnet , Brent , Camden , Ealing , Enfield , Hackney , Hammersmith And Fulham , Haringey , Harrow , Havering , Hounslow , Islington , Kensington And Chelsea , Newham , Redbridge , that part of Richmond north of the river, Tower Hamlets , Waltham Forest , the City Of Westminster and the City Of London . However, colloquially ''North London'' normally does not refer to boroughs such as Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow or Richmond which are normally considered to be in West London . Similarly the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest are usually considered to be in East London . The City of London is often considered, and indeed is, a discrete entity. The West End would also be excluded from some people's definition of North London.
