''Nico'' is the third and final album by the band Blind Melon , released in 1996 by Capital Records. The album was released after lead singer Shannon Hoon 's death in 1995 . The album was named for his daughter, Nico Blue. It features unreleased versions of previous songs ('No Rain' and 'St Andrews Hall') cover versions ('The Pusher' ( Steppenwolf ) and 'John Sinclair' ( John Lennon )) as well as 'unfinished' and 'rare' recordings of the band and Shannon alone.
