Nicktoons are animated television programs airing on the children's television channel Nickelodeon and its many spin-offs. Before Nicktoons, the only regularly-scheduled animation program on Nickelodeon was '' Pinwheel '', an anthology series ala '' Oh Yeah! Cartoons ''. When Pinwheel ended its run in ''. And then, when Doug was over, there was '' Rugrats ''. '' The Ren And Stimpy Show '' was after that. And, every Sunday, that repeated. Over the years, more Nicktoons were created and aired. Other Nicktoons were created for Nick Jr. , Nickelodeon's late morning and early afternoon lineup for younger children.
