GEOGRAPHY Newtok is located at 60°56'40" North, 164°38'39" West (60.944456, -164.644105). According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 2.9 Km&2 (1.1 Mi&2 ). 2.7 km&2 (1.0 mi&2) of it is land and 0.2 km&2 (0.1 mi&2) of it is water. The total area is 7.21% water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 321 people, 63 households, and 51 families residing in the CDP. The Population Density was 120.3/km&2 (313.1/mi&2). There were 67 housing units at an average density of 25.1/km&2 (65.4/mi&2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 3.12% White , 0.00% Black or African American , 95.33% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from Other Races , and 1.56% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 63 households out of which 68.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.5% were Married Couples living together, 11.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.0% were non-families. 19.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 0.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 5.10 and the average family size was 5.96. In the CDP the population was spread out with 45.2% under the age of 18, 10.0% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 14.3% from 45 to 64, and 3.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
