The southern terminus of Route 16 is at the traffic circle in Portsmouth at the intersection of Route 16/ US-4 / U.S. Route 1 . The northern terminus is at the Maine state line in Wentworth's Location , where it becomes ME-16 . Total length of Route 16 is approximately 155 miles (249.4 km). ROUTE 16A New Hampshire Route 16A is a secondary loop road in the town of Bartlett .
