Neasden Tube Station

Neasden tube station is a London Underground station in Neasden . It is on the Jubilee Line , between Wembley Park and Dollis Hill . It is in Zone 3.

The station opened on 2 August 1880 as part of the ongoing extensions to the Metropolitan Line , with the name Kingsbury and Neasden. The name was changed to '''Neasden and Kingsbury''' in 1910 , and then changed again to its current name '''Neasden''' in 1932 , the same year Kingsbury station opened. In 1939 it was added to the Stanmore branch of the Bakerloo Line , Metropolitan Line trains ceasing to stop at the station the following year. Finally, in 1979 , it was transferred to the Jubilee Line.

Neasden tube station's surface building is located in Neasden Lane. As well as the ticket office there is 3 ticket collection barriers and a single luggage gate, it includes a shop. The stairs from the surface building lead to 4 platforms. Platforms 1 and 4 are the partly disused platforms from the Metropolitan Line days. They're still used, albeit very occasionally. Platforms 2 and 3 were originally built in 1914 , when the Metropolitan Line tracks were doubled. They later became the Northbound and Southbound platforms for the Bakerloo Line, and currently the Jubilee Line.
