Nancy Brinker

HISTORY

The Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1982. Susan G. Komen asked her sister, Nancy Brinker, soon before her death, to bring an end to breast cancer. The Komen Foundation was formed in response to this promise and to commemorate all of those who have died of the disease.
