FORMAT Each film is 10-12 minutes long, covering a specific topic about living as a Christian . NOTABLE LOCATIONS Most NOOMAs are shot on location in Western Michigan . The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel is prominent in ''Trees''. A restaurant in Grandville, Michigan was used for ''Sunday''. The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is featured in ''Luggage''. The Van Andel Arena is featured in ''Bullhorn''. A beach along Lake Michigan is featured in ''Kickball''. HISTORY The films were originally released in November 2002. They were introduced during the three services at Mars Hill Bible Church . ''Rain'' started production on September 11, 2001. Mars Hill doesn't produce the films themselves. A separate Non-profit company was formed for the sole purpose of making the NOOMA films. The company was originally called Fringe, but they changed their name to Flannel in 2005. The company is located in Grandville, Michigan . Since November 2002, Flannel has distributed the films through their website, NOOMA.com. Films sold through the website are $10. In March 2005, Zondervan started publishing the series, making it available to all markets. Zondervan's suggested retail price is $12.99. A soundtrack featuring music from the first ten films became available in December 2005 exclusively through the website. BOOKS The package was redesigned and 32-page discussion books were added. The books feature Scripture , stills from the film, and questions related to the film's topic. The books accompany the films on DVD and are available as PDF files for free on NOOMA.com. Rob Bell's first book, ''Velvet Elvis'', was published by Zondervan in summer 2005. In ''009 Bullhorn'', many extras wore ''Velvet Elvis'' concert T-shirts. ''Velvet Elvis'' is a Fictional Musical Group . "LOVE WINS" Also in "009 Bullhorn", a ''Love Wins'' Bumper Sticker briefly appears. The bumper sticker is included in this film. ''Love Wins'' is based on a sermon by Rob Bell, as are all films in the NOOMA series. NOOMA SERIES
